To use your Sony Xperia XA to send and receive e-mails, you need:
* An e-mail account with an internet service provider.
* Login information for ingoing and outgoing e-mail servers. Click

* An active internet connection. Click
here for instructions.
Now follow the instructions to set up your e-mail.
* Start screen.
* Switch your Sony Xperia XA off and then on again to activate the settings.
* This mobile phone can now be used to send and receive e-mails. Click
here for instructions on how to send e-mails.
* Go to the Start screen.
* Choose *Apps*.
* If this screen appears, choose *GET STARTED*.
* If this screen does not appear, go to the next step.
* If this screen appears, choose the list symbol. Scroll down, choose *Settings* and then *Add account*.
* If this screen does not appear, go to the next step.
* Choose *Email address* and enter [[sp_email_address]]
* Choose *Password* and enter [[sp_email_password]]
* Under *Username*, enter [[sp_email_username]]
* Under *Password*, enter [[sp_email_password]]
* Scroll down.
* Under *IMAP server*, enter [[sp_email_imap]]
* Under *Port*, enter [[sp_email_imapport]]
* Under *Security type*, choose [[sp_email_sectype]].
* Note: after you have changed *Security type*, the value under *Port* can change. Make sure that [[sp_email_imapport]] has been entered under *Port*.
* Choose *NEXT*.
* The information will be verified.
* If an error message is displayed, verify the settings and choose *NEXT*.
* Scroll up.
* Under *SMTP server*, enter [[sp_email_smtp]]
* Under *Port*, enter [[sp_email_smtpport]]
* Under *Security type*, choose [[sp_email_smtp_sectype]].
* Note: after you have chosen a *Security type*, the value under *Port* can change. Make sure that [[sp_email_smtpport]] has been entered under *Port*.
* Scroll down.
* If *Require sign-in.* is enabled, disable *Require sign-in.*
* If *Require sign-in.* is disabled, go to the next step.
* Choose *NEXT*.
* The information will be verified.
* If an error message is displayed, verify the settings and choose *NEXT*.
* Tick an option.
* Optional: choose *SHOW MORE SYNC OPTIONS* for more options.
* Choose *NEXT*.
* Tick an option.
* Optional: choose *SHOW MORE NOTIFICATION OPTIONS* for more options.
* Choose *NEXT*.
* Under *Set account name (optional)*, enter [[sp_email_name]]
* Under *Your name (shown on outgoing messages)*, enter your name
* Choose *FINISH SETUP*.
* The e-mail account has been configured and is ready for use.
* Return to the Start screen.
