Samsung Samsung G920 Galaxy S6 (Android M) E-mail Manual configuration IMAP without SMTP verification

To use your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge to send and receive e-mails, you need:

• An e-mail account with an internet service provider.
• Login information for ingoing and outgoing e-mail servers. Click here for more information.
• An active internet connection. Click here for instructions.

  Now follow the instructions to set up your e-mail.

• Start screen.
• Switch your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge off and then on again to activate the settings.
• This mobile phone can now be used to send and receive e-mails. Click here for instructions on how to send e-mails.

• Go to the Start screen.
• Choose Apps.

• Choose Email.

• If this screen appears, choose MORE. Choose Settings and then Add account.
• If this screen does not appear, go to the next step.

• Choose Email address and enter [[sp_email_address]]
• Choose Password and enter [[sp_email_password]]

• Choose MANUAL SETUP.

• Choose IMAP ACCOUNT.

• Under Email address, enter [[sp_email_address]]
• Under User name, enter [[sp_email_username]]
• Under Password, enter [[sp_email_password]]

• Scroll down.
• Under IMAP server, enter [[sp_email_imap]]
• Under Security type, choose [[sp_email_sectype]].
• Under Port, enter [[sp_email_imapport]]

• Scroll down.
• Under SMTP server, enter [[sp_email_smtp]]
• Under Security type, choose [[sp_email_smtp_sectype]].
• Under Port, enter [[sp_email_smtpport]]

• Scroll down.
• If Authentication required before sending emails is ticked, untick Authentication required before sending emails.
• If Authentication required before sending emails is unticked, go to the next step.

• Choose NEXT.
• The information will be verified.
• If an error message is displayed, verify the settings and choose NEXT.

• The e-mail account has been configured and is ready for use.
• Return to the Start screen.
