To use your Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus to send and receive e-mails, you need:

  • An e-mail account with an internet service provider.
  • Login information for ingoing and outgoing e-mail servers.

    Now follow the instructions to set up your e-mail.

  • Go to the Start screen.
  • To open the menu, swipe up or down on the screen.

  • Choose Samsung.

  • Under Username, enter [[sp_email_username]]
  • Under Password, enter [[sp_email_password]]

  • Scroll down.
  • Under POP3 server, enter [[sp_email_pop]]
  • Under Security type, choose [[sp_email_sectype]].
  • Under Port, enter [[sp_email_popport]]

  • Under Auto delete from phone, choose an option.

  • Under SMTP server, enter [[sp_email_smtp]]
  • Under Security type, choose [[sp_email_smtp_sectype]].
  • Under Port, enter [[sp_email_smtpport]]

  • If Require authentication to send emails is disabled, enable Require authentication to send emails.
  • If Require authentication to send emails is enabled, go to the next step.

  • Scroll down.
  • Choose the text box and enter [[sp_email_smtp_username]]

  • Choose the text box and enter [[sp_email_smtp_password]]

  • Choose Sign in.
  • The information will be verified.
  • If an error message is displayed, verify the settings and choose Sign in.

  • Return to the Start screen.

  • Switch your Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus off and then on again to activate the settings.
  • This mobile phone can now be used to send and receive e-mails.
