HTC HTC 10 E-mail Manual configuration POP3 with SMTP verification

To use your HTC 10 to send and receive e-mails, you need:

• An e-mail account with an internet service provider.
• Login information for ingoing and outgoing e-mail servers. Click here for more information.
• An active internet connection. Click here for instructions.

  Now follow the instructions to set up your e-mail.

• Start screen.
• Switch your HTC 10 off and then on again to activate the settings.
• This mobile phone can now be used to send and receive e-mails. Click here for instructions on how to send e-mails.

• Go to the Start screen.
• Choose the menu symbol.

• Choose Mail.

• If this screen appears, choose the options symbol and choose Add account.
• If this screen does not appear, go to the next step.

• Choose Other (POP3/IMAP).

• Choose Email address and enter [[sp_email_address]]
• Choose Password and enter [[sp_email_password]]
• Choose MANUAL SETUP.

• Under PROTOCOL, choose the text box and choose POP.
• Under USERNAME, enter [[sp_email_username]]

• Scroll down.
• Under PASSWORD, enter [[sp_email_password]]
• Under POP SERVER, enter [[sp_email_pop]]

• Scroll down.
• Under SECURITY TYPE, choose [[sp_email_sectype]].
• Under SERVER PORT, enter [[sp_email_popport]]

• Choose NEXT.
• The information will be verified.
• If an error message is displayed, verify the settings and choose NEXT.

• If Login required is unticked, tick Login required.
• If Login required is ticked, go to the next step.

• Under USERNAME, enter [[sp_email_smtp_username]]
• Under PASSWORD, enter [[sp_email_smtp_password]]

• Scroll down.
• Under SMTP SERVER, enter [[sp_email_smtp]]
• Under SECURITY TYPE, choose [[sp_email_smtp_sectype]].
• Under SERVER PORT, enter [[sp_email_smtpport]]

• Choose NEXT.
• The information will be verified.
• If an error message is displayed, verify the settings and choose NEXT.

• Under ACCOUNT NAME, enter [[sp_email_name]]
• Under YOUR NAME, enter your name
• Choose FINISH.

• If this screen appears, choose ALLOW.
• If this screen does not appear, go to the next step.

• The e-mail account has been configured and is ready for use.
• Return to the Start screen.
