  • Therefore, preferably keep network selection on your iPhone 5 set to automatic mode.

  • Start screen.
  • Choose Settings.

  • Choose Carrier.

  • Choose Automatic, and disable this option.
  • The iPhone 5 is now searching for available networks.

  • Choose the network you would like to connect to.
  • The iPhone 5 is now connected to the selected network.

  • Return to Start screen.

  • The name of the selected network is now displayed in the Start screen.
  • You can now call and browse the internet using this network.
